Can I use anal sex toys with Haemorrhoids?

I have developed what I believe to be piles (Haemorrhoids) and am concerned that using anal sex toys, particularly my prostate vibe, may not be such a good idea. Does anybody know what the advice is on using anal sex toys when you have got Haemorrhoids?

Providing it does not cause you any pain or there are any thrombosed haemorrhoids I would say it is relatively safe, I have used but plugs and frequently get piles, but there again I have no form of medical qualifications so don't take my word as medical advice, this is just my personal opion from my own experiences, so perhaps I would be wise to consult a doctor to be sure.
