Is it normal to begin to panic when wearing a metal cock ring, after my first experience of wearing one round the base of my penis shaft, once I began getting erect and the base swelling, the ring suddenly became tights and felt like my penis was being straggled, which resulted in a panic attack.

Was my reaction appropriate and could wearing tight metal cock rings be dangerous? I literally believed at one stage that my penis was going to die and the ring need to be removed in hospital, but luckily after calming myself and relaxing I began to go flaccid and was able to remove the ring myself.

Right now I am not sure if I dare put the ring on again, so looking for some reassurances as to safety.
